ROLE: New Product Definition Engineer
LOCATION: Cambridge, UK
VISA SPONSORSHIP POSSIBLE
Responsibilities:
- Actively engage in hands-on design verification testing and characterization of first-sample ICs in the lab.
- Validate innovative topologies and product ideas using advanced simulation tools and lab prototypes prior to IC design.
- Design power supplies utilizing our client's solutions for validation and customer demonstration purposes.
- Collaborate closely with the IC design team to ensure implementations meet system requirements.
- Contribute to the development of innovative IC-based system solutions aligned with customer and market demands for SMPS and lighting ballast applications.
Education & Experience:
- A first or upper second-class degree (BSc/MSc/BEng/MEng) in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
- Suitable for recent graduates or candidates who have completed a PhD.
- 1–2 years of practical experience is desirable but not essential.
Skills Required:
- Strong interest in electronics hardware design, particularly in power supply design.
- Excellent analytical and practical skills.
- Proficiency in lab work and confident use of lab equipment.
- Proven ability to create accurate and concise technical documentation, including lab evaluation and simulation reports.
- Experience with simulation tools is essential.
