Your mission
* Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify and refine needs and formulate system requirements in application domains in Digital Power Business
* Support in technology roadmap development for next generation products in Digital Power product range such as in PV Solar, Data Center power supply & Battery Energy Storage solutions
* Execute the development of novel Power Conversion architecture and converter typologies
* Lead the parameter design, component layout, prototype build-up and subsequent verification and validation of converter concepts in the R&D laboratories
* Mentor and coach less experienced staff members
Ideal qualifications:
* Master (MSc.) or PhD in the field of power electronics, in electrical and electronic engineering or power engineering plus relevant work experience after the university degree
* Extensive theoretical understanding of basic power electronic converter principles, magnetic component designs, power semiconductor devices and power converter control
* Successful experiences in the product development and release
* Proven hand-on experiences on power converter prototype building and verification
* Proven capability for analysis, design, simulation & verification of key design parameters in power converter technologies, such as power loss analysis, semiconductor selection, magnetic component design, PCB design, modulation techniques etc.
* High level of self-reliance and an autonomous target-oriented work style, “can do” attitude, eager to learn new things and ready to think outside the box
* Occasional travel related to ongoing projects
* Fluent in written and spoken English, willingness to learn German, additional languages are a plus
