Our client are a globally recognisable consumer electronics brand - a household name producing some of the best technology around.
Part of their portfolio includes the design and manufacture of TVs - new developments in consumer TV technology are increasingly leading the evolution of the creation and distribution of audio/video across broadcast and streaming platforms.
They are looking for Technology Marketing Manager to manage B2B relationships across Europe with content creators, broadcasters and streaming platforms to promote strategic A/V technologies such as HDR10+ with a view to enabling new audio/video services to fully exploit the capabilities of future TV technologies.
Role and Responsibilities
Drive European TV strategy by:
• Managing strategic relationships with content creators and service providers
• Incubation of new technology and services move from R&D into market deployment
• Representing the company in TV Standards Development at EU and National Level
• Representing the company in Regulatory activities at an EU and National Level
We are looking for a dynamic and creative Technology Marketing Manager who is passionate about the TV and a strategic understanding of how the industry will evolve in future.
As the Technology Marketing Manager you will:
• Work with R&D to understand future TV technology roadmap
• Develop “go to market” plans to promote future TV technology to EU TV industry
• Engage with EU content providers on how to create content for future TV products
• Engage with Broadcast/Streaming platforms on how to deliver services for future TV products
Desired Experience
• BS or higher degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Natural Science, Mathematics, Engineering or any related discipline
• Solid understanding of audio/video fundamentals
• Good understanding of content creation workflow, Production through Distribution
• Good understanding of audio/video distribution, baseband through video encoding, CDN, broadcast
• Able to represent the company professionally in external engagements with 3rd parties and strategic partners
• An effective communicator able to clearly present at external events and conferences
• Ability to create meaningful, engaging presentations and deliver them to diverse audiences
• Ability to develop and execute strategies to achieve business objectives
• Willingness to travel internationally to support business needs.
Desirable Skills
• Experience of working on a B2B basis in content creation or broadcast/streaming industries
• Familiarity with consumer TV technologies
