Your Role:
Innovate & Optimize: Lead the development of new material systems and refine fabrication processes for advanced Silicon Photonics components.
Enhance Manufacturing: Work closely with design and process engineering teams to ensure high yield and reproducibility of photonic devices.
Analyze & Characterize: Conduct experiments to assess optical and electrical properties—including electro-optic coefficients, modulation bandwidth, and responsivity of Ge APDs.
Collaborate Across Teams: Integrate Silicon Photonics components into larger systems and evaluate their real-world performance.
Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep up with the latest advancements in materials science and manufacturing technologies to drive continuous innovation.
What You Bring:
Ph.D. or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Photonics, or a related field.
Expertise in one or more advanced photonic materials, such as:
Lithium Niobate (LiNbO3), Barium Titanate (BaTiO3), PZT, Silicon Germanium (SiGe), III-V semiconductors, organic materials.
Alternatively, strong process knowledge of Ge APDs, integrated SiGe photodetectors, integrated PD/APD electro-optic modulators, or multi-wavelength sources.
Basic knowledge of Silicon Photonics device concepts is a plus.
