We are partnering with a leading research center in Germany that specializes in advanced optics and automotive photonics. They are seeking an experienced Light Emitting Photonics Chip Researcher to join their team.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will conduct research, design, and evaluation of light-emitting photonics chips for applications including automotive headlights, optical displays, and LiDAR systems. This role offers the opportunity to innovate in high-performance micro light-emitting devices and contribute to cutting-edge photonics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform research, design, and evaluation of photonics chips.
- Develop system-based solutions for complex design and modeling challenges.
- Lead projects from requirement analysis through simulation, proof of concept, and prototyping.
- Track technological trends and explore new directions in photonics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in designing and developing light-emitting photonics chips (5+ years in industry preferred).
- Strong theoretical knowledge in photonics and physics; Ph.D. preferred.
- Expertise in Nitride LED device physics.
- Proficiency with optical design and simulation tools (FDTD, FEM, sequential/non-sequential methods). Programming skills a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a structured, goal-oriented approach.
- Fluent English and ability to work effectively in an international team.
