Electrical Engineer

We’re hiring an Electrical Engineer to work on metering systems in STN2 substations and power stations across the UK. 

Job Title: Electrical Engineer 

Location: Head Office in Southampton (Field-Based Across the UK)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: Negotiable: Dependent on level of experience  

This is a field-based role with occasional travel to workshops and training at Southampton HQ.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commission metering equipment to recognised standards
• Perform accuracy checks, fault investigation, rectification, and maintenance
• Work from electrical drawings and apply safe working practices
• Travel across substations in the UK (Monday–Friday, occasional weekends)

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience in electricity substations
• Skilled in 3-phase energy systems and secondary injection kits
• Full, clean UK driving license
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills

Desirable:

• National Grid / Competent Person, BESC, Safety Passport
• Working at Height, First Aid
• Craft/Technician apprenticeship, ONC/BTEC in Electrical Engineering
