Job Summary
The company is currently hiring an experienced Analog CAD Support Engineer for its site in Meylan, near Grenoble. This role involves providing technical support to analog and mixed-signal IP design teams, enhancing design flow efficiency, and contributing to high-quality, innovative chip development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support analog layout teams with design flow development and EDA tool usage
- Develop and maintain scripts and tools to improve design efficiency
- Manage project setup, design environments, and Linux user workspaces
- Propose improvements to design workflows to boost productivity and quality
- Evaluate and benchmark EDA tools and software updates
- Test and integrate new tool features into existing flows
- Produce documentation, provide training, and conduct demos for design teams
- Collaborate with EDA and PDK vendors (e.g., leading foundries and tool providers)
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in CAD engineering or analog design/layout
- Strong understanding of analog backend flows (e.g., layout tools, DRC/LVS, parasitic extraction, EM/IR analysis)
- Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, SKILL) and Linux environments
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Enthusiastic about enabling and supporting design teams
Preferred Background
- Background in analog/mixed-signal design or layout
- Interest in transitioning from hands-on design to support/methodology roles
- Familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools and workflows
