Lab Technician & IC Validation Engineer

A leading supplier of high power conversion system components is searching for a engineer skilled in a lab environment and who can be a key member of the characterisation and validation process.
Key tasks:
• Provide lab support for the characterization and validation of devices, working closely with the IC Design team
• Develop measurement capabilities to meet new device characterization requirements.
• Execute the test plans set with IC design and new product definition.
• Implement an automatic measurement system by computer interfacing.
• Design customized PCBs to prepare the right validation environment.
• Hands on assembly of boards, soldering parts – including surface mount parts - onto PCB
• Maintenance of lab equipment and instruments
Ideal background:
• BE/BSc Electronic Engineering.
• Basic knowledge microelectronics building blocks
• Basic knowledge of lab instruments (for IC characterisation and validation) and their use.
• Basic programming skills (C, C++, Python)
• Basic knowledge of PCB design (Altium, Circad, or equivalent)
• Good team worker in a multi-discipline, multi-cultural and multi-site environment
• Good written and verbal communication in English, German being a plus
