Optical Design Researcher
Responsibilities:
Perform research and design work in the field of optical wireless communication, optical display, optical sensing, optical projector and/or image lens, solving key challenges through technological innovation;
Go from the analysis of the application requirements, through solution design and system simulation, up to proof of concept and prototyping, identify key challenges and lead the technical breakthrough efforts;
Deeply understand the background of business and tracking the advanced technologies in the relevant fields, gain insight into and explore new technologies and direction;
Extensive interaction and close collaboration with co-workers in the team and from other departments, combine with top industry resources to achieve the business objectives;
Participate in academic conferences, publish and present latest research achievements in leading conferences and/or journals, identify top resources and conduct cooperation.
Requirements:
Proven experiences in designing and developing optical systems for optical wireless communication, optical display, optical sensing, optical projector and/or image lens.
Strong theoretical knowledge in geometrical, diffractive and/or physical optics, applicants with a Ph.D. in optics-related fields are preferred.
Proficiency with optical design and simulation software: Zemax, LightTools, CodeV, VirtualLab etc. Programming skills are considered as a plus, particularly experience with Python and/or MATLAB.
Excellent abilities in problem identification, analysis and solving, and systematic and goal-oriented work approach.
Fluent in English (written and oral) and open to cooperation and to work in a team with multiple cultural backgrounds collaboration.
