Our client, a global leader in semiconductor technology, is seeking a talented Senior Field Application Engineer to join their team.
The Role:
As a Senior Field Application Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers in the EMEA region, focusing on secure silicon solutions for smart cards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide in-depth technical support to customers, addressing their questions and concerns.
- Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and requirements.
- Design-in Support: Collaborate with customers to ensure smooth product integration and design wins.
- Product Training: Deliver technical training sessions and workshops to customers and internal teams.
- Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and customer requirements to drive product development.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and engineering teams to achieve business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical background in secure silicon and smart card solutions, including experience with SIM, eSE, banking, and ID applications.
- Software and Hardware Skills: Proficiency in Java Card OS, MCU software, hardware development tools (e.g., ARM SC000, SC300), and security protocols (e.g., RSA, ECC, AES, DES).
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with smart card dedicated protocols/specifications (ISO7816, ISO14443) and certification schemes (Common Criteria, EMVCo).
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
