Our client in Bristol is looking for a Software Engineer (Safety/Electronics) to join their team in Bristol.
Experience with aerospace systems safety engineering principles, processes, and standards is beneficial, however, if you do not have this experience a safety training program will be provided, this will be complete onsite.
Hybrid model, 2 days working from home.

- FPGA/Microprocessor architectures for DAL A and B airborne equipment
- Hazard logs and analysis activities, including HAZID, HAZOP, and FHA
- Analytical techniques, including FTA, ETA, FMEA, and FMES
- Production of safety documentation, such as PSSA, SSA, and PRA
- Familiarity with international standards like IEC 61508 and IEC 62368
- Experience working within quality systems, such as AS9100 and ISO9001
- Proficiency with requirements management tools such as Polarion, DOORS, or Jama
Responsibilities:
- Contributing safety input for bid proposals, design reviews, and certification processes.
- Defining and guiding safety program requirements.
- Collecting evidence and deliverables to support the development of safety arguments.
- Identifying hazards and implementing control measures.
- Performing detailed fault tree analyses for complex systems.
- Compiling and producing comprehensive safety case reports.
- Conducting system-level analyses by integrating data from multiple subsystems.
- Developing platform loss models that incorporate multiple system-level analyses.
- Executing zonal safety assessments (ZSA).
- Performing common mode/cause analyses (CMA/CCA).
- Conducting particular risk analyses (PRA).
