Profile
A proven track record in the system design of several complex high-speed/RF mixed-signal SoC products.
Excellent RF, systems and signal processing skills.
Able to collaborate cross-functionally and converge on design specifications.
Work description
Develop and define RF system architectures, including level plans, RF chain analysis, and performance specifications, to meet System-on-a-Chip (SoC) product requirements.
Analyze and model RF systems, ensuring optimal performance, signal integrity, and minimal interference including circuit impairments over a wide range of conditions and use cases.
Perform simulations and system-level analysis to predict and optimize RF system behavior. Develop algorithms and calibration routines.
Collaborate with analog mixed-signals (AMS) design and digital engineers to ensure RF systems are correctly implemented and optimized for power, noise, and linearity. Provide block level specifications and/or digital vectors to circuit designers.
Conduct system validation and troubleshooting in lab environments using advanced test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and vector network analyzers. Ensure RF systems meet regulatory and performance specifications in real-world environments.
Create detailed technical documentation, including system design reports, test plans, and validation procedures.
Stay updated on advancements in RF technologies, communication protocols, and standards (e.g., 5G, LTE, satellite communications).
Qualification and Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in RF systems design and integration for communication systems.
Experience in RF system simulation and integration into digital and analog for SoCs.
Strong understanding of RF system components, including filters, power amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers (LNA), mixers, radio calibration algorithms, and high speed data converters.
Proficiency in RF simulation and modeling tools such as MATLAB, ADS, or equivalent.
Hands-on experience with RF measurement tools and techniques, including EVM, noise figure, and phase noise testing.
Solid understanding of electromagnetic principles and experience working with wireless communication standards such as 4G/5G, Wi-Fi, or satellite communication systems.
