Optical Design Researcher
Responsibilities
Perform research and development in the field of optical technologies, optical systems and architectures
Go from the analysis of the application requirements, through research and pre-development, up to proof of concept and prototyping
Work in team and in collaboration with colleagues from other departments, build partnerships with key industry and academia
Participate in academic conferences, publish and present latest research achievements in leading conferences (SPIE, OSA) and high-quality journals
Requirements -
Ph.D. in optical engineering, physics, or related fields
Proven experiences in designing optical systems for imaging, illumination, VR/AR display applications
Proficiency with optical design and simulation software: Zemax, CodeV, Oslo, etc
Strong theoretical knowledge in geometrical, diffractive and physical optics
Pronounced analytical and conceptual working skills and s systematic and goal-oriented work approach
Fluent in English (written and oral) and open to work in a team with multiple cultural backgrounds collaboration
