Now we are looking for a: Senior Researcher in Memory Systems
For the new ZRC Laboratory, we are seeking candidates for research on future storage systems.
Responsibilities:
As a member of our Zurich Storage team, you will conceptualize and develop the prototype of next-generation Computational Memory System
Research, design, develop, and validate the key technologies of Computational Memory System in the advent of high-performance distributed memory stores exploiting emerging technologies like DPU, PIM and low-latency networking.
Drive the intellectual property and academic cooperation strategy, along with formulating a technology roadmap for a competitive and bleeding-edge product portfolio
Requirements:
Computer science or other domain-related disciplines
Experience with design or development in storage or high-performance data infrastructure.
Deep technological understanding of fast network technologies such as IB, RoCE and remote-memory technologies like RDMA
Familiarity with mainstream server CPU architectures and memory/storage technologies
Experience of system optimization for DB/HPC/AI workload.
Good understanding of application accelerating based on DPU/GPU/PIM
Good understanding of storage medium, such as SSD, DRAM, HBM
Good understanding of OS data stack, such as Filesystem, Cache or Block device
Good understanding of distributed system
Excellent interpersonal skills, team-work spirit
Fluent in written and spoken English
