Principal Design Engineer – Mechanical OSA

Responsibilities:
• Mechanical design of micro optical subassemblies (OSA) for novel optoelectronic front-ends
• Development of innovative packaging concepts for next generation devices
• Definition of mechanical component specifications with internal and external suppliers
• Product development of optoelectronic components
• Design of test adapters and fixtures
• Work with global sites as well as external partners, customers, and suppliers
To be considered you will need the following:
• University degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related subject
• 10 - 15 years of experience in the field of mechanical module design, test adapter and fixture design with 3D-CAD tools like SolidWorks
• Expertise in material properties and international mechanical standards
• Excellent working knowledge of optoelectronic components and electronic circuit design are a plus
• Excellent language skills in English and basic skills in German are an advantage
• Must enjoy working in multidisciplinary team
• Assertiveness, flexibility, trustworthiness and willingness to travel occasionally
