My client is looking for a skilled Application Engineer (AE) to join their innovative team, focusing on the development of advanced semiconductor-based current sensor products for sustainable mobility and clean energy solutions.
In this role, you will be a key member of the R&D team, responsible for developing, evaluating, and optimizing these products to meet specific application needs.
As an Application Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry and automotive standards during product development. Additionally, you will interface with customers, providing support for design-in activities, and creating evaluation reports and application notes.
Responsibilities:
• Support the definition, development, and optimization of semiconductor-based current sensor products for industrial and automotive applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate product development and ensure compliance with industry and automotive standards.
• Engage with customers to understand their requirements, provide technical assistance, and ensure product satisfaction.
• Offer guidance and create technical documentation, including application notes, to integrate our products seamlessly into customer designs.
• Implement comprehensive procedures to ensure the performance, reliability, and standards compliance of our current sensor systems.
• Stay updated on industry trends to enhance our product development strategies.
Requirements:
• Proficiency in both analog and digital electronics (signal conditioning, amplification, analog-to-digital).
• Strong understanding of semiconductor physics and current sensor technologies.
• Hands-on experience with product evaluation, testing, and lab equipment.
• Familiarity with industry and automotive standards.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse complex data, troubleshoot issues, and propose innovative solutions.
• Proficiency in circuit design and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB).
• Knowledge of power electronics applications (e.g., DC/DC converters, on-board chargers, inverters) is a plus.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
