ROLE: Lab Director for the Automotive Electric Control Technology
LOCATION: Nuremberg, Germany

Responsibilities:
* As a leading expert, you will guide the research direction of automotive electric control technologies throughout, while taking the lead in forward-looking technology research, break through key challenges in technology industrialization through major theoretical, technical, or engineering innovations, and support continuous leadership in product competitiveness
* Take the lead in participating in key EU projects, expand technical cooperation with mainstream research institutions, and communicate with key customers and industry customers to ensure the company’s integration into the European research ecosystem and build influence
* Have a keen insight into industry dynamics and develop reasonable research strategies, promote breakthroughs in vehicle dynamic and drivetrain technologies, expand patent layout, and support the business success of the company’s associated industries
* Manage local teams of multiple business modules, motivate members, and build high-performance teams
* Analyze algorithm requirements, architecture design, and detailed design based on system function requirements and architecture design
* Be responsible for drivetrain technology (automotive inverter and drivetrain system competitiveness improvement). Vehicle stability control, control strategy and control algorithm of chassis brake system (torque vectoring algorithm, traction control, electronic stability program, coordinated regenerative braking control algorithm, etc.), modeling and optimization
* Leading drivetrain system concept proposals, function development, performance matching, part specification, calibration strategies, objective and subjective assessments
* Leading brake by wire technical insight, concept analysis, function definition, system development and modeling, software development, function integration and testing
Requirements:
* You hold a Master's degree or above in one of the following fields: vehicle engineering, mechanical and electronic engineering, automation, electrical and electronic engineering or in any other related field
* Have profound experience in drivetrain and brake system domain, and have cutting-edge influence in the industry in one or more directions, such as power electronics, drivetrain, braking system, vehicle dynamic
* Be familiar with EPS, ESC, torque vectoring and chassis integrated control algorithms
* You have strong expertise in drivetrain development, vehicle body stability or torque vectoring (ESC and EPS algorithms) and more than 2 mass production products experience
* Proficient use of Matlab/Simulink and CarSim to perform modeling and simulation, generate code, and have the capability of model-based development (MBD)
* Strong technical influence and good connectivity in international research, standards or academic organizations
* Have a global and strategic vision, and have cross-cultural communication and coordination capabilities
* Have a certain understanding of the industry and be able to formulate corresponding technical strategies according to the industry trend and requirements
* Fluent in written and spoken English, working language
