My client is looking for a Senior Field Application Engineer (SFAE) in Central USA.
The company manufactures GaN-based power modules in a range of industries and will require someone from an Electrical Engineering background with experience in GaN.
The Senior Field Applications Engineer will work as technical support within the Sales and Marketing group. This includes pre and post-sales technical support to customers. The SFAE works with design engineers to incorporate GaN devices into their products and helps to troubleshoot the application at all levels. SFAEs support designs in power management, motor drive and wireless charging applications.
The Role:
- Understand the changing market requirements and work with Marketing and Sales to develop new customers and business leading to company growth.
- Willingness to take on projects outside of primary role
- Excellent balance of long term and short-term focus is required.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor +5 / Masters +2 degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in working with power or high-frequency applications with good customer interface qualities.
- Experience with multiple end applications including high-frequency power supplies for Telecom, Industrial, PC and Server systems, smart meters, wireless charging, lidar, motor drive
- Excellent communications and organizational skills are required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- LTSpice, Plexim, Mathcad and experience in layout tools like Altium, Pads, Eagle are a plus
